Originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Dr. Sandra Chou earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of British Columbia before receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the prestigious UC Berkeley School of Optometry, where she was awarded scholarships recognizing her clinical excellence.

During her training, Dr. Chou completed advanced clinical rotations at the UC Berkeley Eye Center, the Portland VA Medical Center, the Southern Oregon VA Rehabilitation Center, the UC Santa Cruz Health Center, and the UCSF–John Muir Berkeley Outpatient Clinic. These experiences provided advanced training in comprehensive eye care, ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, and the management of complex eye conditions.

After graduation, Dr. Chou chose to make Ventura County her home and has been providing comprehensive eye care to the community since 2020. She founded Ventura Vista Eyecare with the goal of creating a modern, independent practice where patients receive thoughtful, personalized care supported by the latest technology.

Dr. Chou enjoys caring for patients of all ages and has a special interest in comprehensive eye exams, medical eye care, dry eye management, and contact lenses. She believes in taking the time to educate her patients and helping them make informed decisions about their long-term eye health.

Outside the office, Dr. Chou enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, hosting dinner parties for family and friends, and spending time with her rescue dog, Qiri.
